The European Survey Research Association has been established to provide coordination in the field of Survey Research in Europe. Through our activities we encourage communication between researchers. Important activities include our biannual conferences on survey research and the publication of a European journal on survey research.

Thursday, January 12. Roger Jowell, Research Professor and Director of the Centre for Comparative Social Surveys at City University, London, and Director of the European Social Survey, passed away on Christmas Day 2011. Roger was the first recipient of the ESRA Award for outstanding service to survey research.
Tuesday, October 4. The winner is Jorre Vannnieuwenhuyze, CeSO: University of Leuven, for his paper “Evaluating Relative Mode Effects in Mixed-Mode Surveys: Three methods to disentangle selection and measurement effects”
Wednesday, August 24. Pictures of the conference in Lausanne are now available.
