Warsaw 2009: Sessions

Strategies for Nonresponse Adjustments (II)

Planned on Thursday, 11:00 - 13:00 in Room A3.

Coordinators:

  • Vasja Vehovar; University of Ljublana, Slovenia

Description:

The nonresponse rates are continuously increasing, so more and more efforts are needed to compensate for the negative trends. The efforts are basically directed into two directions. One is to prevent declining response rates by various approaches related to field work procedures, including design of the survey. The other approach, which is the main focus of this session, is to use some (advanced) post-survey adjustments. In addition, of course, the session is interested in research targeted for better understanding of nonresponse patterns and other aspects relevant for nonresponse adjustment strategies The contributions are thus sought that address these problems, particularly case studies, comparisons of methods and research addressing issues that are relevant across surveys and internationally.
